Greetings Friend of The North Fork Table and Inn,

   Speaking of slow, it's time for another Slow Food Dinner!  Friday, February 12th at 7 pm.  This time we will be featuring the Mangalitsa Pig (you have to click that link, it's fascinating).  Chef has mastered the original Austrian method of butchering and will be using the whole pig as in the old days. This is a 5 course menu (sized appropriately, of course). I'll be pairing beer and wine that has a special connection to the provenance of the pig. Chef Fleming will have her say in the dessert department, again utilising some part of the pig.  Click here to see a preview of the menu and then call immediately because there are only 33 seats left!  The price will be $105 for non-members, $95 for members.

   Speaking of menus, in an entirely unrelated note, I had the Kaiseki menu at Love Lane Kitchen last Tuesday. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
